Mathematics can be a nightmare for some students, but it can be fun for others. That’s basically the same reason. You either do it right or wrong. And that’s also why it’s quite possible to get 100/100 points in math.
To get this score, students need to keep following things in mind-
· Join all classes and arrive on time. One of the best ways to increase your chances of success is to be in time for class every day. This will help you learn the material, submit assignments, and can ask your teacher if you have any questions. The students who are absent a lot in the class are statistically less likely to succeed in this class. If you need to be absent from class due to an emergency, be sure to borrow someone’s notes to find out what you were absent from. If you are often absent or late, your teacher / trainer will notice. If you miss too many classes or register late, you may lose points or fail your class.
· Instead of writing down all the words on paper, focus on the parts of the class that are most useful for learning at home. It is not possible to realistically write down everything that is said in a math class. There is a lot of traffic between teachers and students, and a lot of time is spent solving blackboard problems. Please read the covered materials before attending the class. Also, take notes while reading. Focus your notes on unfamiliar or confusing material. If you have any questions about the material, or if you have any questions about your homework last night, please ask.
· The best way to keep up is to talk to your teacher as soon as you realize you need help. Most math courses are gradually built on the materials created at the beginning of the course. So, if you don’t understand something this week, you won’t be able to understand much of the material in the coming weeks.
· Ask your teacher if you can meet after class. If not, you need to schedule business hours. You can also send an email to your instructor to let them know you need help and want to set up a meeting. Keep your email professional and polite, and your professor will almost certainly make time for you.
· Mathematics can be very complex, so the textbooks used in class tend to be very crowded. After reading this chapter, it is often difficult to understand all the material. Reread as often as necessary to solve problems and test your knowledge without looking at notes or textbooks. Review the chapter summaries (if your textbook contains summaries) at the end of each section. You need to have a good understanding of the material so that you can write a few sentences about each concept without checking notes or books. · If you still can’t do this, go back, and check the material you’re still struggling with. If you make a mistake, try to analyse, and understand it. In the modern world, people are perfectly focused and tend to ignore their mistakes. Most students let go of their mistakes and ignore them. It is essential to correct your mistakes and understand what would happen if you did not. They are considered to have failed.
· If you are stuck, ask for help. Mathematical problems can be difficult. If you notice this, ask for help immediately. Most instructors will accept any additional help you need and will help you understand where the problem is occurring. A good way to prepare for the next day’s lessons at home is to read in advance and challenge more advanced problems. You can’t understand them correctly, and it’s okay. You know which aspects of these equations you are struggling with and can work on them accordingly.
· Try some of the issues in this section. Make a note of any confusing / unclear points. In the next class, you can ask your teacher about a confusing problem. You can also ask questions in other parts of the material. Review your previous homework and quiz assignments as part of the curriculum each time you sit down to study for future quizzes and exams. Make sure you spend extra time solving wrong or partially credited issues and now you understand how to get them right.
· The materials for homework and quizzes may be based on the materials for testing. Make sure you understand how to solve the equations in the previous problem back and forth. This should be a big part of your preparation. Taking the exam may question your abilities. You may be worried that you may not be fully prepared, or you may think that you should have done it another way. This type of thinking can have a serious impact on your ability to take the exam. So be aware of what you are thinking and how you feel. Try to catch yourself whenever negative self-assertion comes to your mind. Common negative self-assertion includes thoughts such as “I don’t understand” or “I wanted to spend more time studying.” Instead, try to make them think of positive self-assertion. Positive self-assertion includes thoughts such as “I am calm and confident. I know I can do this.”
Additional things to keep in mind
i. Prioritize test questions. Try to solve the most point-worthy problem first.
ii. If you run into problems, skip, and come back later.
iii. Monitor the clock to keep track of the remaining time.
iv. If you can’t solve the solution, write down some work for each problem. You may get at least partial credit by showing some of your work.
v. If you have time after you finish your paper, please review your work. Before taking the test, make sure that all answers are meaningful and that you have not left the question blank or incomplete. If you leave the question blank, you have a 0% chance of getting it right. However, when answering, you have at least one chance to understand the question correctly.
With these tips no one can stop students from getting full marks in mathematics.
