Introduction:
More or less we all face allergy issues in our body which is very annoying. It happens when people react to the substances and in the environment that are not that harmful for people. These are known as allergens that can be found in pets, dust, pollen, insects, molds, food and some medicines.
The Ayurveda is so much beneficial way to treat allergies from dust. You should improve your digestive fire as well as incorporate some qualities. In this content, we will show you seven ayurvedic tips that are helpful to calm any seasonal allergies. Though it is a slower way to treat, you will find it so much useful. Time is not that issue if you can get rid of the allergies. I have used it and truly got this so beneficial.
Eliminate cold dairy.
basically this was not that easy, but dairy has that properties to excess kapha. I have started my journey with ayurvedic after totally cutting out cold dairy such as ice cream, cheese and milk etc. I also indulged in hot dairy products which is maybe just once every two months.
Use Nasya oil
Nasya is one of the ayurvedic practices. You can use it by putting herb-infused oil drops in your nose for lubricating dry nasal passages and keeping allergens from irritating the nasal lining. I usually do it every night before going to sleep.
Do an ayurvedic cleanse.
Embarking on an ayurvedic cleanse, or panchakarma, can be helpful to get rid of the toxins that are already in the body and resetting the digestion. I also do a cleanse at least twice a year: Once at an ayurvedic facility, and once at home.
Choose the right herbs and spices.
You can use warming spices such as ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, and black pepper in your cooking. This be helpful to support your digestive fire. Tulsi, pippali, and licorice are also thought to help rejuvenate the respiratory system.
Eat warm, cooked foods.
In ayurveda, if your digestive fire seems low, it can’t access all the nutrition that are stored in raw foods. The poorly digested food can cause toxins accumulating in the body. Eating warm, cooked foods can help giving the digestive fire a chance to rest and recharge.
Use a neti pot.
A neti pot, or nasal rinse cup, can be found much helpful to anyone with seasonal allergies. It really helps flushing out congestion and allergens that irritate the nasal passages and the sinuses. I use this one every morning during the spring as well as fall and at least once or twice a week at the time of summer and winter.
Practice pranayama.
Pranayama is a series of breathwork techniques which stem from yogic tradition. If you control your breathing, it can help you achieving mental and spiritual calm and also free up space in the mind and body. At the time of my 30-minute daily practice, I usually focus my time on anuloma-viloma, bhastrika, and kapalabhati, but it is really important to find a breath that feels very comfortable to you.
